SpecFlow is a single-component, non-shrinking underlayment that seeks its own level once poured, eliminating the need for troweling. It prepares interior subfloors for carpet, tile adhesives, and other floor coverings, and can be applied from a feather edge up to 2 inches thick (up to 5 inches with added pea gravel).

Application Instructions
Prepare the substrate to a minimum CSP 3 profile, with shot blasting preferred; surface must be clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, paint, and loose material
Apply SpecPrime primer at approximately 100-150 sq ft per gallon with a brush or broom (not a roller), and allow it to dry completely — very porous surfaces may need a second coat
Pour 4 quarts of water into a mixing container, then add one 50 lb bag of SpecFlow
Mix with a heavy-duty drill and blending paddle for 2-3 minutes until smooth and free of lumps
Avoid overwatering or retempering the mix
Pour over the primed substrate and spread with a long-handled spreader — no troweling needed
